Privacy Policy

  1. It is the policy of OUT TAKES Dallas never to provide information (e.g. names, e-mail or physical addresses, phone numbers, etc.) from our contact lists to any other outside individual, group or organization. We value the participation of our volunteers, contributors, patrons and those interested in our activities, and will not share the information provided without specific permission.
  2. Every mailing to our contact list will include a link to view our privacy policy (posted on our public website). Subscribers to our contact lists will be presented with a simple mechanism to keep their information up to date, or to unsubscribe from our lists, on every mailing. We will make every effort to act on such requests in a timely manner.
  3. We will use our contact list primarily to send information relevant to OUT TAKES Dallas activities and relevant to the organization and conduct of those activities.
  4. We may also use our contact lists to provide information on behalf of our sponsors and partners. However, we will only provide information that is beneficial to our contacts, is related to our Mission Statement, and provides a direct benefit to OUT TAKES Dallas (e.g. supports our marketing or other objectives), unless otherwise approved by the Board of Directors. We will never use our contact list solely to advertise products of our sponsors or partners that are unrelated to our mission.
  5. The Marketing Director and/or the Co-Chairs will have final approval on the content for all contact list mailings or broadcasts.
  6. Contents of the contact lists will be maintained by the Marketing Director (for the general and media contact lists) or by the Human Resources Director (for the Volunteer contact list), or their designees. The contents of these lists will only be shared on an as-needed basis with others in the OUT TAKES Dallas organization, and all recipients are required to and agree to abide by this privacy policy.
  7. Due to the nature of our organization, we cannot guarantee that mailings from OUT TAKES Dallas will be free from references to gay or lesbian subject matter, references, or depictions. Subscribers to our contact lists agree to receive all such information that we provide, regardless of content. OUT TAKES Dallas will not be held responsible for any liability incurred from our contact with subscribed parties.
